Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic

 
 

 

Confidential testing for several sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, trichomonas, vaginitis, hepatitis b, herpes, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis) are available through Public Health Services.  All testing and counseling services are performed at our office, 2100 Campus Drive SE (first floor) and all information is confidential.

Hours:

Monday:  1:00 - 4:30 p.m.
Thursday:  8:30 a.m. - Noon
Appointments required for all testing

Services:

  • Hepatitis A and B vaccine when appropriate 
  • Free condoms 
  • Testing, treatment, and education for the following STD's:

Diseases  Test Results Availability 
Chlamydia  Urine  Within 7 days 
Gonorrhea Urine Within 7 days 
Syphilis  Blood from vein Within 7 days 
HIV 1 & 2  Blood from finger stick Same day
Herpes Active lesion only Within 7 days 
Hepatitis B Blood from vein Within 7 days 
Hepatitis C Blood from vein  Within 7 days 
Genital Warts Visual diagnosis  Same day 
Trichomoniasis Microscopy  Same day
Yeast  Microscopy  Same day
Bacterial Vaginosis  Microscopy  Same day

** positive results for syphilis and HIV will require an additional confirmatory test and will not be available on the same day.

Fees:

Cost for services is based on the individual tests which are performed.  We accept cash, Medical Assistance, Minnesota Care, U-Care and Blue Plus as payment for services.  We are unable to accept private insurance.  A sliding fee is available for uninsured persons.
