Disposition of Furniture - An inventory of the Surplus Furniture area is maintained by the Purchasing department for use by County departments. The County may also periodically donate excess surplus items to area cities and townships; as well as contracting with the Salvation Army to sell some of the excess surplus furniture for a set commission rate.
Disposition of Computers - Olmsted County has two contracts for the disposition of obsolete computers. Salvageable: Olmsted United Way; Non-Salvageable: Asset Recovery.
Disposition of Vehicles - Olmsted County is utilizing the internet auction site listed below for vehicle disposition.
Disposition of Equipment - Large equipment is either processed as a value when new equipment is purchased or becomes a bid opportunity.
Olmsted County's Purchasing Department is responsible for the disposition of all surplus.
