Our mission is to educate and assist you in how not to be a victim of crime. We accomplish this mission through various programs, classes, and presentations. Keeping you informed and not a victim is our goal!
The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office has a wonderful working relationship with Olmsted County Victim Services and we are proud to announce we are strengthening our relationship to assist victims of violent crime. Victim Services and the Sheriff's Office are now working together to advertise Home Security Surveys for vicitms of violence. The Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit has always offered this service, but now have a new avenue to reach those that need this service the most; victims of violent crime.
Victim Services and the Sheriff's Office worked together to produce a brochure that will be given to all victims of violent crime upon meeting their Victim Services advocate. Home Security Survey brochures are also available upon request at the Crime Prevention window on the 2nd floor of the Government Center. If you are interested in having a Sheriff's Deputy come to your home and evaluate the overall security of your property, please call Deputy Jonathan Jacobson at (507)328-6780 to schedule an appointment! There is no fee for this service.
