Volunteers In Probation

 
 

 

Probation Assistant:  Assist Probation Officers in monitoring offenders, making sure they are in compliance with their court orders.  This position involves four to six hours a week and training will be provided.

 

 

Probation Partner:  Provide a healthy and supportive relationship between the probationer and the community.  Role modeling pro-social behaviors, such as necessary values, motivation and sense of self responsibility.  This position involves one to two hours a week and training will be provided.

         

Juvenile Diversion Panel Member:  Attend and participate in a Juvenile Diversion panel once a week.  You will assist with interviewing juvenile offenders about their crime related actions and reflect to them the impact of their action on the community.  Once this is completed, you will collaborate with other panel members in deciding on restorative and consequential expectations for the youth.  Depending on availability this position meets one to four times per month for 3 hours in the early pm and training will be provided.
