VISION: Stronger communities through justice, safety and restoration.   MISSION: DFO Community Corrections inspires change and creates opportunities for offenders, victims, and the community through the principles of evidence-based practices and restorative justice. We believe in the ability of individuals to change and communities to be involved in the process. All persons are treated with dignity and respect, with an understanding and acceptance of each individual's unique risks, needs and abilities.   Dodge, Fillmore, and Olmsted (DFO) Community Corrections is under the umbrella of Olmsted County Community Services. The three counties, by a Joint Powers Resolution, declared to jointly provide local comprehensive correctional programs under the Community Corrections Act of 1973. Each county shares personnel, facilities and financial resources in the development of the Community Corrections System. The philosophy of community corrections works to keep more offenders in the community and involves various community members and community groups and volunteers. Emphasis is placed on delivering rehabilitative and restorative programming with the intention of assisting offenders to increase competencies while reducing their risk to re-offend. In addition services are offered to victims so that they are restored for their loss and/or gain emotional healing.   The Dodge-Fillmore-Olmsted Community Corrections 2009-10 Comprehensive Plan, mandated by the Minnesota Department of Corrections, outlines the budget, goals, outcome measures, and community demographics/crime profiles for the three county agency. The plan describes administrative and organization of correctional services for adults and juveniles, as well as specific program services for both offenders and victims. Key content includes the DFO Strategic Plan, recent statistics and outcomes, and the financial section. DFO Methamphetamine Treatment Project (18 month report)This is an initiative funded by the Minnesota Department of Pubic Safety, Office of Justice Programs. The data analyzed in this report were collected by correctional staff at the three project sites – Crossroads, Odyssey, and Journey – between the months of July and December, 2006. This report will summarize the evaluation plan and project components, provide a brief overview of key project activities that occurred during the past six months, and describe characteristics and outcomes of clients served during this initial reporting period.    Doug Lambert, Director Community Corrections Email for additional information
