| In the sping of 2007, the Minnesota Legislature and Govenor Pawlenty passed into law the Freedom to Breathe Act, complimenting our local Olmsted County Smoke-Free Workplace Ordinance passed in January 2007. Both the local and state legislation take full effect on October 1, 2007, extending secondhand smoke protections to customers and employees alike in virtually all indoor workplaces, including all restaurants, bars and private clubs.
