Workload volumes for licenses, ID cards, vital records, and passports have increased significantly. Completing the appropriate applications in advance will save processing time at the government center.

Please note: Our office cannot process requests to transfer an out of state driver's license or do any testing required by the state exam office. To schedule appointments, please call 507 285-7412.

Services Available at the Olmsted County License Bureau are:

• Maintain licenses: liquor, beer, and dance. Sell licenses to auctioneers and transient merchants.
   
• Issue: Minnesota driver's licenses, Minnesota ID cards, U.S. passports, marriage licenses, certified copies of birth, death and marriage certificates.
   
• File: Notary commissions and provide notary public servcies; file and maintain credentials of ordination.

Our office does not issue hunting and fishing licenses or process motor vehicle transactions.  Please refer to the yellow page directory for auto licenses in the local phone book.
