Garden Waste:    tomato vines,
bean vines & roots from the garden (if not woody), pumpkins

Dirt & Sod, rocks, clay - Take to the Landfill or sometimes Landscape Companies will take dirt (Disposal cost at Landfill  $8.60/cu. yd.)

Hay & Straw -1 or 2 Bales only (larger amounts
go to the Recycling Center for disposal at the Landfill).

Fireplace Ashes

Sod - No more than a wheelbarrow full and must be clean  i.e. no rocks or clay in it (larger amounts can go to the Landfill).

The Olmsted County Yard Waste Compost site is located east of the Olmsted County Recycling Center (at 305 Silver Creek Road NE in Rochester). It is open during daylight hours, 7 days a week during the spring, summer and fall. There is no charge to deposit acceptable yard waste.

All unacceptable items can be taken to the Olmsted County Recycling Center for a fee.
