"To promote the interests and welfare of veterans, their dependents and survivors and to enhance their quality of life through counseling, claims assistance, education, advocacy and special projects."
The Veterans' Services Office assists county residents, who have served in the armed forces of the United States, in securing the benefits such as: federal, state, dependent, transportation, mental health, and chemical dependency provided by law if the person has a discharge other than dishonorable.
Assistance is also provided to all residents, regardless of the nature of the discharge, in securing mental health counseling and treatment for alcohol and/or drug dependency abuse.

Vet's Visits on TV This is a cable access informational program for veterans and their families co-hosted by Brad Lindsay, Olmsted County Veterans Service Officer, and emphasizes programs by local service organizations, i.e. American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, etc.
