HOP
Households interested in this program should contact their social worker for more program details and application information.
The Housing Options Program is a local housing initiative funded by Zumbro Valley Mental Health Center (ZVMHC). Applicants must have a diagnosis of SPMI (serious and persistent mental illness). This program is designed to be similar to the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program and provides short-term rental assistance until the participant enters the HCV program.
HOP serves an average of 25 households per month. Households rent a unit from a private landlord who agrees to the conditions of the program. The maximum rent subsidy is $250 per month.
ZVMHC provides more information about their agency on their website.
