Passports
A passport is one of the most valuable secure documents you may ever receive.
Citizenship and identification requirements are strictly enforced by our office in accordance with the United States Department of State to ensure document integrity, guarantee the safety of United States citizens and to protect National Security.
Passport applications can be processed by appointment or walk-in
Please Note: For adult renewals, Form DS-82,
Application for a U.S. Passport by Mail is available in our office,
but cannot be processed in our office.
Payments must be made using Personal Check* or Money Order only.

Walk-in Service:
The following items are required at the time of service:
Completed Application
Proof of U.S. Citizenship (No Copies)
Certified Birth Certificate
Previous US Passport
Naturalization Certificate
Proof of Identity
Valid MN Driver License (If you have a drivers license from a state other than MN, please bring a second form of photo ID )
Current passport or passport that has recently expired
Payments must be made using Personal Check* or Money Order only.
*Although Olmsted County accepts credit cards for most services the US Department of State requires separate checks for each Passport application.
One recent (within six months) passport photo, complying with US Dept of State standards
Photo may be obtained in our office for a $15 fee.
We are unable to photograph infants under the age of one year
