     Mission: To plan, develop, construct, and maintain a safe and efficient
transportation system for the traveling public.

 Olmsted County has 1,695 highway miles.  The Transportation Division is responsible for 518 miles, 336 bridges and is involved with other agencies in all aspects of maintaining the additional 1,177 miles. Assistance is made available to 18 Townships for maintenance, construction plan preparation, bridge inspection, bridge replacement, and securing funding. New technologies, innovations, and collaborations are promoted and implemented when possible to increase growth and learning.
