Sentenced to Service (STS)
The STS program is a program in which sentenced detainees perform work in the community in exchange for time off their sentence. Work is done for Olmsted County and non-profit organizations. Crews work on disaster relief efforts, veteran's memorials, county and city parks and other non-profit projects. The projects benefit the community and the detainees learn job skills that can help them gain employment after their release and become productive members of the community.
If you are a nonprofit or government organization and you have a project you would like us to do, here is what you need to know:
- We charge $100.00 per day for 1 crew
- Crew sizes vary depending on the size of the project, but average about 8 detainees and one leader
- Detainees on the crew are classified as low risk offenders
