Internships
The purpose of the internship program is to allow students enrolled in an accredited law enforcement program the opportunity to gain knowledge to enhance the understanding of the criminal justice system. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office may be able to offer an unpaid internship dependent on current demands and available staffing levels.
To be considered for an internship:
- Currently enrolled in a law enforcement program requiring the internship as part of the college curriculum
- Complete the Sheriff’s Office Intern Application (obtain from the Training Division by calling 507/328-6777)
- Complete the selection process to include a background investigation and an oral interview
- Internship availability is dependent upon application completion and Sheriff's Office staffing
All applications for Spring/Summer internships are due by January 31, 2012 and no other applications are being accepted at this time.
