Olmsted County Public Health Awards

​The Annual Public Health Award honors an individual, group or program for their exceptional contributions to improving the publics' health including individuals, families, groups and unique communities in Olmsted County. Each play a critical role in making Olmsted County a healthier place to live, learn, work and play. Nominations are due on or before February 20, 2019.

Public Health Champion Award

This award recognizes, honors and thanks individuals, groups and programs whose service and activities have improved and strengthened the lives of our residents. Nominations are submitted by community members including family, friends, neighbors and organizations. Nominations are accepted until February 20, 2019. An awards ceremony will take place at the first County Board meeting in April and recipients, their families and colleagues, and nominator will be invited to attend.

The nominee does not have to be a resident of Olmsted County but the contributions must benefit county residents. Religious, fraternal, business or professional groups that provide services only to their members are not eligible. Current members of the selection committee, the Public Health Services Advisory Board, Olmsted County Public Health Services staff, Olmsted County Board of Commissioners, or their families cannot be nominated.
