"Positively affect client lives through community volunteerism in county government"
The Volunteer Program has recruited, trained and supported volunteers for over 29 years. Our vision is to provide resources to expand and enhance the services offered within Health, Housing and Human Services.
Volunteer Drivers provide needed transportation for clients to and from appointments as requested by Social Workers, Probation Officers, and other county staff serving the public.
Transport clients with limited transportation to medical appointments, treatment centers, visitation meetings, parenting classes, and summer camps. Most trips are in town, but longer trips are also possible. Volunteer Drivers drive their own vehicle and are reimbursed at the IRS rate. You can volunteer on nearly any schedule- we work around your schedule!
