Low-level supervision requires minimal face to face contact with a probation officer. The program is administered with the use of a Telephone Reporting System (TRS), an automated telephone/web-based monitoring system designed to increase accountability for lower-risk cases where an office visit can be replaced by telephone contact.
The Olmsted County Pretrial Services Team is committed to utilizing a validated assessment tool to provide alternatives to pretrial incarceration in order to maximize release, return to court, and public safety. Pre-Trial Services works cooperatively with the Olmsted County District Court in making release recommendations that are assessed on an individual basis by keeping community safety in the forefront of all decisions.
The Olmsted County Drug Court (OCDC) represents a collaborative effort of criminal justice stakeholders working together to break the cycle of substance abuse. The partners in the effort have a closer working union than is traditionally seen in criminal courts. The OCDC provides individuals the opportunity to change life circumstances and become alcohol and drug-free. OCDC utilizes evidence-based practices in its delivery of services and works in collaboration with community providers for chemical health and ancillary services.
