Absentee Voting Now Open

And the polls are now open for Minnesota’s general election!

Early, no-excuse absentee balloting runs from Friday, September 21st through Monday, November 5th, a 46 day period before the election on November 6th, under state law. This means voters can go into their local absentee office to cast a ballot or go online to the Minnesota Secretary of State website and request an absentee ballot to mail in before the November 6th general election. Mail-in ballots must be returned by the general election date or they are not counted.

Olmsted County’s Absentee office is located at 1421 3rd Ave SE, Rochester, MN 55904 with business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Extended hours are Tuesday, October 30th and Thursday, November 1st from 8 AM to 8 PM and Saturday, November 3rd from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Questions can be directed to Olmsted County Elections at (507) 328-7650 or via e-mail to Elections@CO.OLMSTED.MN.US.
