Regular meetings of the Board are held the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council/Board Chambers at the Government Center, 151 4 St SE, Rochester MN.
The Olmsted County Zoning Board of Adjustment consists of five (5) members with one (1) member also being a member of the Olmsted County Planning Advisory Commission.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment is established in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Section 394.27 and as hereafter amended. The Board consists of five members, appointed by the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners. The Ordinance requires that at least one member shall be a member of the Planning Advisory Commission and one member shall be a member of a Township Board.
The Board of Adjustment has the authority to grant variances to the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance under certain conditions. The Board is also responsible for hearing and deciding any appeals from a decision or interpretation of the Zoning Administrator with regards to the enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment shall act upon all questions as they may arise in the administration of the Olmsted County Zoning Ordinance; and it shall hear and decide appeals from, and review any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official charged with enforcing the zoning ordinance.
