The purpose of the internship program is to allow students enrolled in an accredited law enforcement program the opportunity to gain knowledge to enhance the understanding of the criminal justice system. The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office may be able to offer an unpaid internship dependent on the current demands and available staffing levels.
To be considered for an intersnhip:
An internship is available.
Currently enrolled in a law enforcement program requiring the interneship as a part of the college curriculum.
Complete the Sheriff's Office Intern Application (obtain from Training Division by calling (507) 328-6777.
Complete the selection process to include a background investigation and an oral interview.
Internship opportunities for 2018 have been filled. If you are interested in applying for an internship in 2019, applications are due to Captain Mike Bromberg by March 1, 2019.
